Here’s the agenda for today’s Cortland Common Council (March 2nd, 2021). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will be broadcast live About Zoom Video. The meeting starts at 7 p.m.

Item 1 – Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of Cortland to sign and submit two Community Development Block Grant applications to the New York State Office of Community Renewal for funding for a micro-business support program and a housing refurbishment program Obtained to authorize the mayor to enter into grant agreements with the funding source for either or both of the grants to be awarded to the city and to take any other action necessary to implement the program or programs. Article # 2 – Examination of a resolution to accept, recognize and appropriate the following donations to the youth office. (John McNerney)

Article # 3 – Consider a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign a letter of intent with SUNY UPD. (Mayor Tobin)

Article 4 – Consider a resolution to adopt an updated code fee schedule as a appropriate. (Captain TenKate)

Article # 5 – Consider a resolution approving the perpetual “loan” from the Gamewell Alert Mechanism, located in the HQ Fire Station, for the new CNY Living History Museum Historic Fire Station display. This mechanism has not been used by the fire service for many years and will no longer be of use in the future. (Chef Friedman)

Article 6 – Consider a resolution to transfer $ 5,467.00 from Police Department revenue line A3120-44389 to Police Department clothing line A3120-540800, which will reimburse the Department of Justice’s 2020 ballistic vests grant and to offset the cost of new ballistic vests in the Year 2021 is used (DC Sandy)

Article # 7 – Consider a resolution to recognize and appropriate $ 2,504.80 of proceeds from scrap sales to Contento in the form of abandoned vehicles from the confiscated lot and brass from firearms training to be added to Firearms Training Budget Line A3126-541602 to address the unexpected Paying the expense of sending 4 new employees to the academy due to retirements and lateral transfers.
